Long Exposure Photography

Short 3D visual experiments made for Instagram and Social.   Designed to watch in a continous loop on social, but only play once when embeded on my site.

The Yashica is a great twin reflex medium format camera.  Shoots some amazing images.  That is if my external light meter shows the way.

The split camera was intended to be a toy camera for kids, but with its unique double exposure capability, it became a favorite camear of mine.  

Two of my split camera photographs were publish in a book on toy cameras entitled “Toy Cameras – Creative Photos” This book features all the best toy cameras with 42 contributing artists including myself.  If you are interested in a copy they are available on the authors site signed or for a low price on amazon.

This Polaroid series was shot with an old vintage Polaroid Land Camera 100. Each image was double exposed on high speed Type 667 black and white Polaroid film. The idea behind this series was to create a subjective dream world, that would seem impossible to exist yet captured through the instant photo format. This series was one of my final Projects in my senior studio art course at the College for Creative Studies.

This series was featured in two art exhibitions in 2008.

The NASA Remix Project is a group I created on flicker that was dedicated to Remixing the public photo archive of NASA. Any image, collage, artwork, or photo that uses at least one image from NASA in the form of a remix, mash up or new artwork Qualifies.

While the group is no longer active, you can see all the member contributions on flicker.

The set of images here on my site were created by myself for the project.
